WQED Documentary Premiere, “The Great Ride” featuring in small part, The Ruins Project

Announcing the broadcast premiere of a new documentary featuring the Great Allegheny Passage and C&O Canal Towpath.

…and in small part, The Ruins Project!

THE GREAT RIDE

On Thursday, March 14, at 8:00 pm, turn to WQED to watch a magnificent presentation tracing the spectacular Pittsburgh-to-Washington, D.C. journey via the Great Allegheny Passage and C&O Canal Towpath.

Follow veterans on a thru-ride and watch a group of cyclists tackle the mountains of Maryland.  Discover hidden treasures in the Laurel Highlands from a well-respected naturalist and historian, and celebrate at Pittsburgh’s Point State Park.  Beautiful scenery and dozens of aqueducts, bridges, vistas, tunnels, and trail towns await.

Outside of WQED’s broadcast area?  Stream The Great Ride from March 15 to 31, exclusively at www.wqed.org/ride.  Check out WQED’s website for additional video content.
